Random Thought #1
There seems to be a stray kitten who has decided to make the courtyard garden of my apartment complex his/her home turf. I have been trying (unsuccesfully) the past few days to lure the kitty inside with food and water so that I may ship him/her off to the humane society or a better home.
What I’ve been thinking about is how most people who see a lost animal will gladly offer it food and temporary shelter until it gets taken back home etc. Why then are most people so quick to pass by a homeless person without offering some money, food or shelter. I admit I fit this mold.
This sort of thing happens often in movies and tv shows too. It’s an action filled scene with people getting shot and dieing all over the place. The main character goes through a building room by room killing people when all of a sudden he enters a room with a dog. A short break from the violence “shhh shhh” to the dog and a quick pat on the head before moving on. Even most villians seem to have a soft spot for animals.
It’s the worst of the worst who will hurt a dog, cat, or any furry animal. Just think of how you would feel when the main character in the above described scene enters the room with the dog, and then proceeds to immediately shoot him.
So who are some of these villains? Michael Vick & George W. Bush of course!
